The one page business plan - developing a strategic business model

How to gain a competitive advantage

This half day workshop helps graphic designers develop a business plan that is strategic, concise and and able to help you generate new business.
Do you remember when you started your studio and your accountant told you to write a business plan. You probably slaved over it for weeks, produced a lengthy document that pleased your accountant; then you filed it in the bottom draw.

Even though your competitors have changed and that has changed your competitive advantage, you haven't reviewed your business plan because it's such hard work.

The one page business plan workshop is the answer. You will learn how to produce a strategic, succinct business plan that you can quickly review and change to stay in front of your competitors. The core of this workshop is the examination of your current business model.

What you will gain from this workshop;
    • an understanding of how to develop a business model
    • the process of converting your business model into a one page business plan
    • how to use the business plan as an operational tool
    • using the one page business plan to communicate to staff
    • using the one page business plan to stay focussed

    This workshop covers:
    • defining your mission, vision and values
    • defining your business model
    • setting personal and business goals
    • identifying your strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
    • identifying your markets
    • setting strategies to achieve your goals
    How will it work?

This workshop will involve a limited group of participants. The workshop will be facilitated by Greg Branson.
Greg has had 20 years experience in running a design studio, building it up from two people to 13. He will guide the workshops and share his knowledge of best practice design management.
