Business development audit

We all need to constantly canvas for new business. Some studios have a business plan and marketing plan that sets out the process for getting new business. But not many studios audit this process on a regular basis. This one-on-one session presents an audit of your business development process.

Audit details

    Session 1: The current situation

    This session gathers all of the information about your business and the way that you work. An onsite visit is used to gather this information and take a look at your operation.

    Session 2: Analysis of your business

    This session is conducted away from your studio and is used to bring together all the information gained in the first session. It includes an analysis of your competitors and the scope for expansion of your client base.


    Session 3: Presentation of the audit

    In this session we meet at your studio to present the audit. The audit will cover areas such as:

    •   an analysis of your current skills and markets
    •   identifying the potential to expand your markets
    •   strategies to grow your business in existing markets
    •   competitor analysis
    •   identification of your competitive edge
    •   an action plan to gain more business.

    How will it work?

    This audit will be conducted by Greg Branson.
    Greg has had 20 years experience in running a design studio, building it up from two people to 13. He has conducted business development audits for many studios as part of the dbc mentoring program.
